Your parents are the first people you meet in your life. They become your guardians, support, greatest love, teachers, mentors, judges, executioners, best friends, and on the top of all, they are our idols. However, when your parents are billionaires people all of a sudden expect too much from you. That life can be very intimidating. That is why we decided to look at the lives of billionaires, but not those whose lives are often analyzed. We have chosen to check the lives of the world’s richest black billionaires.

Michael Jordan

According to CNBC, Michael Jordan is the first ever athlete to become a billionaire. He became a billionaire, not only because of basketball but because he knew how to invest his hard-earned money. According to Forbes, Michael Jordan’s brand “Air Jordan” is estimated to worth over 2 billion dollars. And that was back in 2013. However, that was not the investment that brought him to the billionaire status. That was his NBA team, Charlotte Hornets.

Michael’s net worth is estimated at $1.65 billion.

He married Juanita Vanoy in 1980 and they had two sons, Jeffrey Michael and Marcus James, and a daughter, Jasmine. Juanita and Michael got divorced in 2006. Later on, in 2011, Michael proposed to his longtime girlfriend Yvette Prieto and the two of them got married in 2013. On February 11, 2014, Prieto gave birth to identical twin daughters named Victoria and Ysabel. So, Michael has 5 children… Good for him!

However, can you imagine how pressured those kids feel because of their father? He is definitely one of the greatest basketball players that have ever walked on the face of Earth, and how can you top that one?! It is a difficult position… Well, one of his kids, Marcus decided to follow his father’s footsteps. He played basketball for the University of Central Florida from 2009 to 2012 where he averaged 12.3 points per game. And although his talent for basketball was no match for his father’s, he did open a boutique sneaker shop in Disney world called Trophy Room that was inspired by all the awards his dad has gotten.
